Your ports are your business.

Portlivo shows the local ports and dev servers on your own computer, and is built to work without collecting anything about you. This policy explains the little data that is involved.

Updated October 17, 2026Written in plain English

Everything stays local

Processes, projects and logs are read on your Mac and never uploaded.

No account, no app analytics

You never sign up, and the app doesn’t track how you use it.

No invasive permissions

No Screen Recording, Accessibility or Full Disk Access — ever.

01

What stays on your Mac

Process names, ports, command lines, project folders, logs, stacks, watched ports and settings are read and stored only on your Mac. None of it is sent to us or anyone else. Portlivo does not take screenshots, read your terminal or shell history, or need Screen Recording, Accessibility or Full Disk Access.

02

What the app sends

  • Licence check: your licence key and this Mac’s name (as set in System Settings, so you can tell your Macs apart in the licence’s activations) are sent to Dodo Payments to activate the licence. Later checks and deactivation send the key and the ID of that activation.
  • Update check: the app downloads an update feed from our server. Like any web request, this reveals your IP address and app version to the host.
  • Sharing: only when you choose to share a server publicly, the tunnel tool you picked (cloudflared or ngrok) carries that traffic under its own privacy terms.
  • Health checks and previews: requests to your own local servers (localhost) never leave your Mac.
03

Purchases

Payments are processed by Dodo Payments, which acts as the merchant of record. They collect your name, email, billing country and payment details to process the order, send your licence key and meet tax rules. We receive your name, email and order details so we can support you. We never see your full card details.

This website

The website uses Google Analytics and the Google tag to understand how visitors find and use it: the page and site you came from (including campaign tags), pages viewed, how far you scroll, which sections you see, which buttons and links you click (such as Download or Buy), text you copy (such as a command from a guide), questions opened or searched in the FAQ, and whether a purchase completed. Google sets first-party cookies and receives your IP address, browser and device type and approximate location; it does not give us your name or email. If we run ads, the Google tag also measures which ads led to a visit or purchase. We don’t sell data.

You can turn analytics off in this browser below, or use Google’s opt-out add-on.

We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics for page views, referrers, country, browser and page speed. It sets no cookies and doesn’t identify you.

Our host, Cloudflare, may also keep standard server logs (such as IP address and browser) for security.

The Portlivo app itself contains no analytics. Only this website does.
